How to Cure Acne Scars - Learn About the Various Ways to Deal With Acne Effectively

By

When you have finally gotten rid of acne, the next question that pops is how to cure acne scars? These marks left behind by pimples are unsightly and if not treated immediately, can become a permanent facial feature. This is one feature you don't want on your face forever. Luckily, there are ways to get rid of those unsightly marks.
You can opt to use over-the-counter creams and lotions that aim to reduce the appearance of marks. These creams make use of ingredients that help whiten the skin. They also contain essential minerals and Vitamins that help promote healthier skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles aside from the scars. You have to be careful in using these products though as some may contain chemicals that won't work well with your skin. Harsh chemicals can irritate sensitive skin, damage the epidermis and inflame the skin resulting to red, itchy blotches.
There are also available clinical methods on how to cure acne scars. These methods include:
• Dermabrasion
• Chemical peels
• Keloid surgery
• Laser acne scar treatment
These methods are overseen by dermatological experts and may be the most expensive methods of ridding the skin of pimple marks. These methods like the laser treatment are quite effective in getting rid of unsightly marks though. Some methods like dermabrasion are painful and may require several sessions for best results.
Natural methods on how to cure acne scars are preferred by many mainly because these methods are safer to use and are inexpensive. They are also effective although results may take longer to show than the other methods. There are two approaches to natural pimple scar treatments:
1. Homemade remedies i.e. sandalwood paste, olive oil, lemon juice and tomato juice, etc.
2. Adopting an all-natural system developed by an expert
One of the best pimple treatment systems ever developed is the Acne No More System. This system provides factual information on how to cure acne scars using natural remedies and how best to implement them.

What makeup powder/ foundation works effectively for covering pimples, but doesnt make them worse?

i have under the skin pimples that are hard and difficult to deal with. it takes about a week for them to go away and they are so irritating and big. I just want to know a good makeup brand that can cover up my acne without irritating it or making it worse. And also is there a specific way to put on coverup when you have acne? like without spreading the germs around?

Almost all foundation will make your pimples show worse! Because it's covering the redness and the bump will be there no matter what...so I am sorry..idk! I suggest you just use a light powder~

  • I use this concealer from Neutrogena , if you go in the isle you should find it. It is a tad expensive, but it freaking works! I have two kinds, one for dark circles [I am the QUEEN of dark circles] which actually covers them up, and reduces puffiness and darkness..! It works so well! I also use one for my zits. It's called something like the pimple pen? I don't remember, but it just looks like a little pen. I put that on and it works pretty well. And because it's Neutrogena, it's great quality. It lasts for a while so its worth your money. Also, pair it with a Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Acne Wash, it works FANTASTIC! I used it for 3 days straight and.. BOOM! They were gone!

I would use the Bare Minerals Foundation stuff, but not every day because foundations aren't the best for your skin..but if you have to, make sure you scrub your face well when you take it off[possibly use the Deep Clean facial wash from Neutrogena-works great also. And apply cream at night]

Your redness/pimples will go down, and your self esteem will go up.. INSTANTLY!(:

    Hope this helped.

  • I use Maybelline Natural Perfecting Mineral Power liquid foundation and pressed powder. Their formula is light so it won't be heavy on your face and clog your pores. You can use one or the other. I use both because I need slightly more coverage for the natural redness I have on my face. Hope this helps!

How To Prepare Face For Makeup
    1) Only use oil free products that won't clog pores and cause acne!
    2) Wash hands before applying products! Hands have dirt and bacteria on them that can cause breakouts!
    3) Wash face with warm water and your cleanser
    4) Apply toner or astringent
    5) Apply moisturizer or sunscreen lotion
    6) Apply makeup

How To Properly Use Makeup And Tools
    1) Always wash makeup off your face before going to bed to prevent breakouts!
    2) Makeup tools such as blush brush, sponges, puffs, etc., harbor oil, dirt, and bacteria that can cause breakouts! So always wash and replace your makeup tools often!
    3) Using old stale makeup can cause breakouts! Always use new fresh makeup! A talk show said makeup has the following expiration dates: Foundation 3 to 6 months, Powders/Eyeshadow/Blush 1 year, Mascara 3 months, Lipgloss/Lipstick 1 year, Eye Pencils/Lip Pencils 1 year, Facial Cleansers/Moisturizers 6 months.

Six Things Must Be Done Everyday To Reduce Or Prevent Acne! Doing One Or A Few Of These Things Will Not Keep Your Skin Clear As Possible! Do The Following:

    1) Wash, Tone, Moisturize Your Face Everyday! Apply these three products at least 2 times a day, morning & night (possibly 3rd time, midday, if super oily/sweating). Natural and gentle products are sometimes more effective than acne medication, try this routine: Wash face with warm water & Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar by Johnson & Johnson. Tone face with Witch Hazel, try Thayers or Dickinson's, its gentle, minimizes pores, heals acne. Moisturize face with Lily Of The Desert Aloe Vera Gelly, its 99% organic, contains vitamin A, C, E, heals blemishes/scars!

    2) Keep dirt & bacteria at bay to prevent more breakouts! Don't touch face with hands, Clean phone often or don't let phone touch face, Keep hair clean or don't let oily dirty hair touch face, Don't lean face on objects, Clean glasses often, Wash pillowcase, bedsheets, blanket, washcloth, towel often. Wash hands before applying face products. Use fresh makeup, not old makeup. Wash or replace makeup tools often.

    3) Eat Healthy Food, Limit Junk Food! Eat healthy food everyday such as fruit, vegetables, lean meat, fiber, beans, wholegrains, foods rich in omega 3 fatty acids, zinc, vitamin A & C. Limit intake of frozen meals, dairy, milk, fat, oil, butter, greasy/fried foods, sugar, candy, salt, dessert, caffeine, coffee, pop, alcohol. Always avoid cigarettes, tobacco, illegal drugs! The book, The Clear Skin Diet by Alan C. Logan & Valori Treloar has detailed information on what to eat and not to eat to help reduce or prevent acne and it explains the hormones involved in acne and how to control them with food!

    4) Take A Multi Vitamin Mineral Supplement Everyday! Its hard to get all the vitamins and minerals your skin needs on a daily basis, so take a supplement everyday! Caution! Overdosing on vitamins and minerals whether from food or supplements is toxic and dangerous!

    5) Drinking about 64 oz of Pure Water everyday improves skin quality, flushes out toxins, delivers nutrients to skin! You can also include 100% Fruit Juice as part of your daily total.

    6) Doing 20 to 30 minutes of Aerobic Exercise everyday (or every other day) increases circulation & delivery of nutrients to skin cells, encourages good blood supply, helps remove toxins, controls acne breakouts! Stay hydrated by drinking water before, during, after workout! Immediately take a shower to remove sweat and dirt!
